INEA Marine Firefighters attend to affected communities in Sucre after Hurricane BERYL

Press INEA(02.07.2024) The Marine Fire Department of the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) stationed in Cumaná (Sucre State), was deployed this Tuesday with a tanker truck to the community of Cumanacoa, to support the work being carried out by the Bolivarian Government to assist those affected by Hurricane BERYL, which caused the Manzanares River to overflow its banks.

Also, the Minister of People’s Power for Transportation G/D Ramón Celestino Velásquez Araguayán and the president of INEA CN. Germán Gómez Larez, enabled today the Port Captaincy of Puerto Sucre as a Collection Center, to advance efforts of medical attention and distribution of medicines, food, drinking water and household goods for the affected populations.

These measures reinforce the emergency logistical support ordered by our Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros for the most affected communities of Cumanacoa: Barrio Blanco, La Fragua, Las Tinajitas, Antonio José de Sucre Avenue, Las Morritas, Las Trincheras, El Palanque and Los Cedros.
