This Office
Informs Port Captains, Maritime Service Companies engaged in environmental pollution prevention and response activities in aquatic spaces that perform ballast water sampling, Shipping Agencies, Shipping Companies, and, in general, all companies operating within the aquatic sector, that as of the present date, the sampling of ballast water is suspended until the procedure to be followed for compliance with the provisions set forth in the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships’ Ballast Water and Sediments, 2004 (BWM) is implemented.
Notify the content of this Circular through all dissemination mechanisms.
