Circular No. 009 of 2018, Maximum Validity Period of Payments for Processing Applications

Instruction General Managers, Line Managers, Office Heads, and Harbor Masters are hereby instructed that, effective as of today’s date, payments for procedures related to services and auxiliary activities of the aquatic sector provided by the Aquatic Authority in accordance with the Law shall have a validity period of ninety (90) days, counted from the date of the corresponding fee payment. Furthermore, said payment may not be used in or transferred from one economic-financial fiscal year to another; therefore, the payment is only valid within the same calendar year in which it was made.
This instruction is effective as of today’s date and, consequently, must be communicated to all related personnel and posted on the information bulletin boards of the service-generating Coordinations at Headquarters, as well as at the Harbor Master Offices and their branch offices.
Exception: Procedures carried out before the Venezuelan Naval Registry (Registro Naval Venezolano – RENAVE) are exempted from this instruction, as it is subject to specific provisions on the matter in its respective Regulations of the Venezuelan Naval Registry (RENAVE), published in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 37,773 dated September 11, 2003.
