RESTRICTED GLOBAL MARITIME DISTRESS AND SAFETY SYSTEM (GMDSS) OPERATOR (COPY)

1. Identity Card.
2. High-resolution, sharp photograph, blue background, in Uniform No. 2 (stripes visible according to hierarchical rank, both shoulders and face visible, updated within the last six months, with a neutral facial expression, no groomed patterns/shapes in the beard for men, and no plunging necklines for women, no photomontages). This must be attached in the SEAFARER FILE section.
3. In the case of a replacement copy due to loss, theft, or robbery, if the user does not have a record of the document in the SINEA system, a PDF copy of the Restricted Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) Operator Certificate with a manual signature must be scanned if available; otherwise, a formal complaint filed with the competent judicial authority must be uploaded. In the case of a replacement copy due to damage or deterioration, the affected Certificate or an explanatory letter of the events must be scanned and submitted.
4. Credential (both sides) or Merchant Marine Certificate of Competency. This must be attached in the SEAFARER FILE section, under the CERTIFICATES tab.
5. Payment for document issuance, made to the Banesco Checking Account, under the name of INEA, 0134-1099-2200-0100-0780, RIF G-20002141-1, in accordance with the amounts indicated in the SEAFARER PROCEDURES PAYMENT TABLE pursuant to Article 59, Item 12 (located next to the TYPE OF REQUEST). This Table is updated at the DICOM rate every Monday at noon. “The date of the payment made must correspond to the date of the request and is valid for three months once processed”.
6. The INEA payment settlement form will be uploaded to each user’s “SEAFARER FILE,” under the “REMARKS” tab, by the Seafarer Management personnel once the payment has been confirmed.
