    TYPE OF ACTIVITY

    MANUFACTURING AUTHORIZATION FOR FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC (FRP) VESSELS

    DOCUMENTATION TO BE SUBMITTED

    1. Formal application letter addressed to the President of INEA. 5.9 Structural plans of the midship section and typical sections.
    2. Application form addressed to the President of the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces. 5.10 Superstructure plans.
    3. Copy of the identity card (cédula de identidad) or RIF (taxpayer identification number) of the owner of the vessel to be constructed. 5.11 Plan of shaft lines, rudder, and rudder stock.
    4. Letter of commitment specifying the agreements between the parties (Shipowner and Main Naval Production Center). 5.12 Plans of different systems: bilge, fuel, propulsion, steering, drinking water, and sewage, among others.
    5. Naval Construction Project (vessel construction); all requirements concerning the project must be signed by a duly registered Naval Engineer. 5.13 Electrical system plans: includes details of emergency switchboards, main and secondary distribution, circuits, electrical balance, and power distribution.
    5.1 Project descriptive memory (technical specifications). 5.14 Tonnage calculation.
    5.2 Structural calculations. 5.15 Range calculation (fuel capacity).
    5.3 Stability study under different loading conditions, hydrostatic curves, and cross curves of stability. 5.16 Characteristics of the propulsion engines and generator engines.
    5.4 Lines plan (hull form plan). 5.17 Detailed schedule of works to be executed.
    5.5 General arrangement plan. 5.18 Description of the standards applied during the construction process.
    5.6 Capacity plan and table. 5.19 Protocol for stability tests, port trials, and sea trials.
    5.7 Structural plans of watertight bulkheads, including their openings. 6. Technical data sheet of the resident Naval Engineer responsible for the work.
    5.8 Structural plans of longitudinal sections.

    NOTE: All these requirements must be contained on a flash drive (pendrive) and sent to the Naval Industry Management Office (Gerencia de Industria Naval) at the INEA Headquarters in Caracas. Likewise, the documents in digital format (PDF) must be forwarded to the email address solicitudes_industrianaval@inea.gob.ve and the physical folder must be filed at the naval production center (centro de producción naval).
