(Press INEA- La Guaira) – In a display of institutional unity and patriotic commitment, the Aquatic Authority celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Venezuelan Nautical Education Center (CENAVE). The ceremony, charged with strategic symbolism, was held at the emblematic Simón Bolívar Hall of the Port of La Guaira, consolidating itself as the epicenter of vanguard training for the sector.

The ceremony was presided over by CA. Germán Gómez Larez, President of INEA and Bolipuertos; accompanied by Abg. David Quintana La Riva, Vice-minister of Aquatic Transport and President of Venavega; and VA. Alberto Acosta Sotomayor, Director of CENAVE. This high-level representation from the National Executive underlines the importance of the academic branch within the machinery of the Aquatic Motor and the Great Transport Mission Venezuela.

Recognition of Merit and Administrative Continuity

As part of the strengthening of ethics in public service, decorations were awarded to teaching and administrative personnel who have forged the men and women of the sea of the Fatherland. A moment of high institutional relevance was the presentation of a tribute plaque to Cap/Alt. José Marval Fuentes, the first director of the center, recognizing the solid foundational base that today allows INEA to project itself into the future with stability and discipline.

Message from the Aquatic Authority: Awareness and Seedbeds

CA. Germán Gómez Larez urged the aquatic family to transcend technical instruction in order to achieve the formation of civic awareness.

“We must continue strengthening the nautical education of our men and women; that is the core work. Thank you for these 10 years of creating awareness in the seedbeds of the Fatherland. Let us continue fighting for that Blue Venezuela which is our strategic horizon,” stated the highest authority of INEA.

CENAVE 4.0: From School to Integral Security

On his part, VA. Alberto Acosta Sotomayor highlighted the impact of the “Cenavito goes to School” program, which has been deployed for 4 years across all aquatic jurisdictions of the country. This program is not merely educational; it is a tool for preventive control and integral security, planting in the next generation a respect for the marine environment and national nautical regulations.

Strategic Projection: Innovation and Ethics

The event concluded with an audiovisual review of a decade of achievements, confirming that CENAVE does not only instruct but innovates. Looking toward the next cycle, the center is projecting itself toward Nautical Education 4.0, integrating simulation technology, cybersecurity, and decarbonization—pillars that ensure Venezuelan human talent competes under international standards of maximum efficiency.

With this tenth anniversary, the INEA reaffirms that the control of aquatic spaces begins in the classroom, shielding national sovereignty through knowledge and academic excellence. LU/YC
