CIRCULAR No 001
Whereas, the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces must maintain the registry, authorization, and monitoring of Shipping Companies, Classification Societies, Shipping Agencies, Cargo Operators and Agencies, Freight Forwarders, Multimodal Transport Operators, Ship Chandlers and Provisioning Services, Environmental Pollution Prevention and Mitigation Activities in Aquatic Spaces, Aquatic Safety or Life-Saving Services, and Industrial, Scientific, Recreational, Sport, Fishing, and Tourism Diving Operators.
By means of this circular, the entire Aquatic Sector is hereby informed that:
- 1. The fees set in Euros, payable in Bolivares according to the DICOM rate published by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), for initial Registration and Certification, Authorization for Extension of Operations, and Verification for Renewal, must be calculated by the Aquatic District where the aforementioned companies operate or will operate.
- 2. Shipping agencies holding a 5-year operational authorization must submit the annual payment within the 31 days of January of each fiscal year, accompanied by the valid bond for that period.
The Aquatic Authority, through the General Management of Marinas via the Management of Maritime Transport and Traffic and the Collection Office, shall ensure compliance with this Circular.
The contents of this Circular are to be notified through all dissemination mechanisms.
