Decree No. 2,920 dated May 17, 2004, whereby it is provided that the National Institute of Aquatic and Insular Spaces is the competent authority to establish, coordinate, supervise, control, and certify the actions required to implement the rules of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) adopted by the International Maritime Organization.
