INEA activates free fluvial routes to assist communities affected by rains in Apure

    16-07-2025

INEA Press (07.16.2025) | The Gran Misión Transporte Venezuela, through the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA), has joined the national effort to support Venezuelan communities affected by recent rains.

In this sense, the Port Captaincy of Apure has activated entirely free fluvial transport routes to guarantee the mobility and safety of citizens in the region, following the collapse of “El Muerto” Bridge due to the river’s rise.

The INEA vessel “Río Apure” is transferring people between the Mantecal parish and the Bruzual parish of the Muñoz municipality. This strategic route will remain active until the installation of a Bailey bridge in the sector, a measure ordered by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, in order to maintain the vital connection with Barinas state.

At the same time, the INEA vessel “Río Sarare” is in the town of Santa Catalina, Sosa municipality, actively collaborating with the regional government in the evacuation efforts of the flooded communities in that area.

In this way, the INEA reaffirms its commitment to continue working hand in hand with the Ministry of People’s Power for Transport and the various State security bodies, for the benefit of the well-being of Venezuela and its inhabitants.
