The Venezuelan Nautical Studies Center (CENAVE), attached to the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA), has launched Phase III of its national deployment, bringing essential maritime training to Ciudad Guayana. This initiative seeks to strengthen the knowledge of seafarers.

On this occasion, 26 Guayanese benefited from basic IMO (International Maritime Organization) courses, receiving both theoretical and practical training. Participants delved into areas such as “Elementary first aid”, “Personal survival techniques” and “Fire prevention and fire fighting”.

This effort is part of the objectives of the Great Transport Mission Venezuela and the INEA, which seek to massify nautical education and provide direct support to fishing communities, seafarers and all those involved in related activities. The primary goal is to maximize the safety of human life in the country’s aquatic spaces.
