Councils of Fishermen and Fisherwomen, Aquaculturists and Aquaculturists (CONPPA) of Aragua, Carabobo and Falcón received from the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA), a total of 126 personal geolocation devices (PLB), as part of the actions executed by the Great Transport Mission Venezuela in support of the Ministry of People’s Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, to maximize the safety of this productive sector of the country.

The president of INEA, CA Germán Gómez Larez, together with the Protector of Aragua state Eric Martínez, the Secretary of Tourism of the Governor’s Office Maritza Mendoza, the Mayor of the Costa de Oro municipality Wilmer De Leal and the Cmdte of the Central Maritime and Insular ZODI VA Jesús Melean Torrealba, delivered 60 radio beacons to 10 CONPPAs of this constituency in Bahía de Cata, where more than 60 fishermen and fisherwomen gathered.

This same day, the head of INEA traveled to Puerto Cabello (Carabobo), to deliver 50 radio beacons to 6 CONPPAs, together with the State Director of MINPESCA Marielys Almao.

While in Tucacas, 10 CONPPAS benefited, to whom the highest representative of the Maritime Delegation of INEA in that entity, VA Edgar Sánchez Ángel, delivered 10 radio beacons in the company of the Bolivarian National Guard, the Secondary Coast Guard Station and INSOPESCA.

This action, framed within the Safe Fishing Plan ordered by our Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros, seeks to strengthen the work carried out by MINPESCA and guarantee the well-being of the men and women workers of the sea, reaffirming the commitment of the Great Transport Mission Venezuela and INEA to the fishing and aquaculture sector.
