The INEA received this Tuesday the ISO 9001:2015 certification for the operational processes associated with the management of nautical education and maritime safety, during an act that took place simultaneously in the 17 Port Captaincies located along the national coastal strip.

During the activity, Certificates were delivered to the General Director of CENAVE, VA Alberto Acosta Sotomayor, to the General Manager of Marinas, VA José Boggiano and to the Port Captains of Carenero CN Carlos Martus Gil, La Guaira Cap/Alt Gioyyanny Calderón and Puerto Cabello, CN Rosmil Infante, the latter, representing all regional offices.

The ISO flag was also raised with the participation of a representative from the certification entity LLC-Certification and the accompaniment of the institution’s main allies (Ochina, Ocamar, Coast Guard Command, Bolivariana de Puertos, among others).

The certification of the Quality Management System (QMS) of the INEA at a national level began in 2023 as part of a strategy to optimize internal processes and offer more effective and efficient services.

Currently, there are 4 certified processes (Venezuelan Naval Registry, Seafarers, Maritime Safety and CENAVE), which demonstrates INEA’s commitment to guaranteeing continuous improvement, transparency and reliability of operations, risk-based thinking and user satisfaction.

In this way, the entity attached to the Great Transport Mission Venezuela, moves forward decisively to become a State institution results-oriented and with national and international recognition.
