INEA convened the Local Port Facilitation Committee of La Vela de Coro

MPPT – INEA Press (08/14/2024) – The National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA), through its Port Captaincy of La Vela de Coro, held at its regional headquarters the monthly meeting of the Local Port Facilitation Committee FAL – 65, in order to evaluate compliance with standards and recommended practices on the procedures, documents, and formalities applied to the arrival, stay in port, and departure of ships, crews, passengers, luggage, and cargo.

This conclave included the participation of representatives from SENIAT, INSAI, GNB Guard, Anti-Drug Guard, Sanitary Control, Environmental Health, Bolivarian National Guard, ZODIMAINOC, and the shipping agency AGENAFALCA.

The meeting focused on obtaining the statistics for the month of July 2024 regarding departures and arrivals, tons of exported cargo, time windows for ship departures and fuel transfer, as well as matters relating to the documentation required by Law for the creation of departure authorization files (Sanitary Permits, Fumigation Certificates, radio certificates, navigation licenses) and their proper verification for feasibility assessment.

Likewise, emphasis was placed on the importance of planning port operations according to the number of vessels performing maneuvers, the amount of cargo to be moved, and the dimensions of the ship, as well as the placement of deadweights as anchoring points closer to the pier platform, in order to facilitate cargo loading, maritime safety inspections, pre-departure checks, and legal visits.

In this way, the Great Venezuela Transport Mission and INEA work for the development of the aquatic sector, following the guidelines issued by our Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros.
