- High-Resolution Passport Photo: Clear and sharp image, utilizing either a blue or red background depending on the specialization. Uniform No. 2 must be worn with the appropriate epaulets (galons) for the specialization against a blue background, or formal attire may be worn. Both shoulders and the face must be fully visible. The photo must be updated within the last six months, showing a neutral facial expression. For men, there must be no decorative patterns/shapes carved into the beard; for women, no low-cut necklines are permitted. Photo compositions or digital alterations (photomontages) are strictly prohibited. This must be uploaded to the SEAFARER FILE
- Credential (Both Sides) or Merchant Marine Title: This optional document must be uploaded to the SEAFARER FILE section under the TITLES tab.
- University Degree: Includes other academic qualifications, degrees, and non-IMO courses.
- List of Maritime/Aquatic Courses: A detailed breakdown of the specific courses the applicant intends to teach.
- IMO Courses: Required and additional certificates must be uploaded showing both sides, including the official registry and folio number. The validity period of the requested instructor document depends directly on the issue/expiration dates of these certificates. They must be uploaded to the SEAFARER FILE section under the COURSES tab.
- Seafarer Book (Cédula de Marino): Required for all Merchant Mariners, including copies of all pages that contain entries or stamps.
- Maritime Medical Certificate: Documenting physical and mental fitness, specifically detailing vision and hearing capacities. This must be submitted in the official Maritime Medicine format provided on the INEA website. It must include audiometry and phoniatry evaluations, performed either by an INEA-authorized physician or an internal medicine doctor from the public healthcare system.
- Procedure Fee Payment: Payment for the issuance of the document must be made to the Banesco current account under the name of INEA (Account No. 0134-1099-2200-0100-0780, RIF G-20002141-1). The total amount must correspond to the fees established in the SEAFARER TRANSACTION PAYMENT TABLE under Article 59, Item 3 (located next to the Application Type). This table is updated weekly according to the DICOM exchange rate every Monday at noon. Note: The date of the transaction must match the date of the formal application, and the payment remains valid for three months once processed.
- The INEA payment settlement form will be uploaded to each user’s “SEAFARER FILE”, under the “REMARKS” tab, by the Seafarer Management personnel once the payment has been confirmed.
