Port Captaincy of Ciudad Bolívar supports family evacuation efforts due to river rise

INEA Press (20.07.2025) | The Port Captaincy of Ciudad Bolívar of the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) has actively joined the response to the river rise in the General Manuel Cedeño Municipality.
The INEA workforce deployed in a mixed Quick Reaction and Risk Attention Unit (URRA) for Risk Management, collaborating closely with Citizen Security Agencies (OSC) and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
The main objective of this joint operation was the evacuation, mobilization, and safe relocation of the families affected by the increase in the river’s flow. For this reason, a total of six families, made up of 33 people (19 adults and 14 children), were safely moved from the localities of El Rincón, Guaniamo, Centro Urbano and San Rafael de Castillero.
This action highlights the commitment of the Great Transport Mission Venezuela and the INEA to the well-being of the citizens, demonstrating the response capacity and inter-institutional coordination in emergency situations in aquatic spaces and their adjacent areas.
