In the “La Cueva del Sapo” sector, on the road to Arichuna, staff from the Captaincy joined the authorities of the Governor’s Office of Apure in a crucial fluvial cleaning task. Work was done on the removal of debris and “boras” plants from the tubular defenses, an essential measure to protect the road from the force of the river during this period of rising waters. Simultaneously, the Port Captaincy of Apure is collaborating closely with the Vice-Ministry of Risk Management to reinforce the San Juan de Vivero containment dike, a fundamental action to guarantee the security of this important area.

In a gesture of solidarity, the SITAP vessel “Río Apure” from the Captaincy carried out a far-reaching humanitarian mission, transporting aid to various populations in the state of Guárico, including Sombrerito, Médanos del Selvero and Samán del Portuguesa, among others.

Likewise, in the company of the highest regional authorities of Esteros de Camaguán, the La Portuguesa river was navigated to deliver food, toys, shoes and medicines to the communities.
