CERTIFICATE OF PROFICIENCY: ABLE SEAFARER ENGINE
(RENEWAL)
- Identity Card.
- Passport (Optional).
- High-resolution, sharp photograph with a blue background, in formal attire (both shoulders and face visible, taken within the last six months, neutral facial expression, no groomed patterns in the beard for men, and no low-cut necklines for women; no photomontages allowed). It must be attached in the SEAFARER FILE section.
- Expired document (Certificate of Proficiency: Able Seafarer Deck, both sides).
- The IMO Courses (required and additional, both sides, including registration and folio numbers). The validity of the requested document depends on the date of these courses. They must be attached in the SEAFARER FILE section, under the COURSES tab.
- Seafarer’s Identification Document (all used pages) (demonstrating 12 months of sea service during the five years preceding the document’s expiry date).
- Maritime Medical Certificate (physical and mental fitness specifying vision and hearing), in the Maritime Medicine format available on the INEA website (must be issued by a physician authorized by INEA or an Internist from the Public Health Network). Applicants over 40 years of age must also present a cardiovascular evaluation report and an electrocardiogram (must be performed by a Cardiologist, Internist, Intensivist, or Emergency Physician).
- Payment for the document issuance fee must be made to the Banesco Bank current account, held by INEA (Account No. 0134-1099-2200-0100-0780, RIF G-20002141-1). The amounts are determined by the TABLE OF SEAFARER TRANSACTION FEES, specifically under Article 59, Item 12 (located next to the TYPE OF REQUEST). This table is updated according to the DICOM rate every Monday at noon.
“The date of the payment made must correspond to the date of the request and is valid for three months once processed.” - The INEA payment settlement form will be uploaded to each user’s “SEAFARER FILE,” under the “REMARKS” tab, by the Seafarer Management personnel once the payment has been confirmed.
