    Requirements – General Ports Law Article 47

    REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AUTHORIZATION OF CONSTRUCTION, REHABILITATION, AND EXPANSION OF PORTS AND PORT-TYPE STRUCTURES

    Those interested in obtaining authorization must submit the following documents:
    1. Authorization request addressed to the President of the INEA, for the attention of the Port Management (original and one copy).
    2. Technical Feasibility, location plans, and general project plans.
    3. Descriptive memory (historical overview) of the project.
    4. Photographic review of the conditions of the port, port-type structures, and maritime, lacustrine, and fluvial works.
    5. Conceptual engineering, basic engineering, and detailed engineering projects for the port, port-type structures, and maritime, lacustrine, and fluvial works.
    6. Engineering project plans for the various stages of the port or port-type construction (signed and stamped by the project engineer and the municipal mayor’s office).
    7. Bathymetry plans of the port or port-type structures updated with the most recent survey.
    8. Engineering and structural calculations for the projects at their various stages.
    9. Project construction design.
    10. Mathematical, physical, and hydraulic models of the project (when applicable). Not applicable for this type of project.
    11. Execution timeline for the port-type construction works.
    12. Construction project for bilge water and ballast water storage tanks within the port or port-type construction.
    13. Environmental and socio-cultural impact study of the port or port-type construction.
    14. Soil study of the aquatic and terrestrial space where the project will be developed.
    15. Registry of Activities Capable of Degrading the Environment – RACDA. To conduct its operations, the company must hold a RACDA registration.
    16. Permits and Authorizations from the involved agencies (Accreditation of the Project’s Environmental and Socio-cultural Impact Study, Authorization for Handlers of Hazardous Substances, Materials and Waste, Land Occupation Authorization, and Resource Impact Authorization, granted by the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism and Water).
    17. Municipal Mayor’s Office Permits (Urban Variables, Environmental Variables – Municipal Engineering).
    18. Presentation Annexes on CD.
    19. Others established by Law.
