SHIPPING AGENCIES RENEWAL SESSION

The National Institute of Aquatic Spaces, in exercise of the powers provided for in Article 78, numerals 1 and 14 of the Decree with Rank, Value, and Force of the Organic Law of Aquatic Spaces and in accordance with the provisions of Articles 73, numerals 1 and 2; 74, numeral 9; Article 102, numeral 7 ejusdem and as provided for in Article 17 of the Organic Law of Administrative Procedures.

WHEREAS

The National Institute of Aquatic Spaces is the entity responsible for managing the policies issued by the governing body and exercises the Aquatic Authority and Administration, in accordance with the competencies established by law.

WHEREAS

The National Institute of Aquatic Spaces, in exercise of its competencies as the Aquatic Administration, must maintain the registry, authorization, and monitoring of shipping agencies.

This Office DECIDES:

N°	Decisions and Provisions
1	Shipping Agencies holding expired permits or permits nearing expiration must complete the relevant procedures for the renewal of their authorizations.
2	The National Institute of Aquatic Spaces will carry out a special authorization renewal session from October 16, 2023, to January 31, 2024, through the Aquatic Spaces Information System (SINEA).
3	The fee to be paid for Verification by Renewal is established in Article 49, Table No. 37 of Resolution No. 033 dated May 2, 2018, published in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 41,389 dated May 3, 2018; which is set in Euros payable in Bolívares, according to the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).
4	Shipping Agencies that, as of this date, have not completed the annual update of their operating authorization as required under applicable regulations, must pay for all non-updated years prior to their renewal or the cessation of their operations.
5	Shipping Agencies that do not have valid permits will not be authorized to operate.
6	La Autoridad Acuática por órgano de la Gerencia General de Marina, a través de la Gerencia de Registro y Control de Empresas Marítimas y la Oficina de Recaudación, velarán por el cumplimiento de esta Circular.
