COMMUNIQUÉ: UNDERWATER ACTIVITIES

Companies in the aquatic sector classified as shipping companies in the passenger transport activity are notified that, in order to perform such activity in Venezuelan aquatic spaces, they must have a Permit for the Exploitation of Passenger Routes. This permit is processed online through the Management of Maritime Transport and Traffic. The procedure for requesting said permit is as follows:

Step	Procedure Description
Step 1	Access the official INEA website https://www.inea.gob.ve/ and select the Procedures (Trámites) tab.
Step 2	Select the Maritime Transport and Traffic section.
Step 3	Selecciona el tipo de Solicitud, “Registro o Renovación” para descargar los recaudos correspondientes a dicha solicitud.
Step 4	Select the type of request, “Registration or Renewal” to download the requirements corresponding to said request.

After having obtained the precise information regarding the requirements to be submitted, you must send them in PDF format to the email tráficomarítimo@inea.gob.ve, so that your request can be evaluated by the analysts in the area.

It should be noted that those companies that do not have the corresponding permits will not be able to carry out passenger transport by sea in any of the country’s aquatic jurisdictions, which will be under the strict supervision and control of the Port Captaincies.
