INEA celebrated the Day of the Virgin of the Valley nationwide
Prensa MPPT – INEA (08/09/2024) The National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) celebrated this Sunday the Day of the Virgin of the Valley nationwide, with religious activities, protocol events, and boat processions for the Virgin.
At the headquarters located in Caracas and in the Port Captaincies, homilies were held to give thanks to the Patroness of the East for favors received, and she was crowned with floral offerings.
Likewise, in conjunction with the Bolivarian Navy, the Coast Guard Command, Bolivariana de Puertos, fishermen, transporters, and communities, maritime and fluvial processions were carried out with INEA’s fleet. Notable among these were the tugboats and TAP vessels of the Integral System of Aquatic Passenger Transport, accompanied by Navy frigates, National Bolivarian Police surveillance boats, and countless artisanal fishing vessels.
Once the maneuvers at sea and along the Orinoco and Apure rivers were completed, the Virgin was transferred back to her altars.
Meanwhile, in Nueva Esparta, the “Gran Fondo Virgen del Valle” 200 km cycling race took place, in which male and female INEA employees participated.
    Well-deserved decoration
Within the framework of this glorious day for all mariners, the President of INEA, Rear Admiral Germán Gómez Larez, was decorated with the “Escuadra Libertadora” Naval Medal, Surface Ships First Class, and the Honor of Merit Bar of the Bolivarian Fleet Command.
The action was carried out by the Commander of the “Escuadra Libertadora” of the Bolivarian Navy of Venezuela, Admiral José Rafael Hernández Abchi, who stated that this recognition is intended to honor the merits of work, discipline, and revolutionary loyalty, as well as the unconditional contribution and support toward enhancing the operational readiness of Warships and maintaining the well-being of the Crews.
In this way, the Great Transport Mission Venezuela and the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) pay tribute to the 113th anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of the Virgin of the Valley.
