26-02-2025
A total of 60 fishermen from the fishing communities of Cacique Nigale, Cuatro Raíces, and Sueño Bolívar benefited from a Community Social Outreach Program for Registration, Re-registration, and Issuance of Navigation Licenses conducted by the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) in the state of Zulia.
The activity, which took place at Playa Cacique Guaraní in the Maracaibo Municipality, Santa Rosa de Agua Sector, included the issuance of navigation licenses, the receipt of regulatory documentation for the registration of fishing vessels with the Maracaibo Naval Registry, and the execution of mandatory inspections by the Maritime Police.
Likewise, the occasion was conducive for the Marine Firefighters of the Port Captaincy to provide talks on aquatic awareness, requirements for artisanal skipper applicants, and required medical evaluations.
In this way, the Great Transport Mission Venezuela and INEA guarantee fishermen’s access to the services provided, in order to ensure the work of the men and women of the sea in accordance with the Law.
